Zak, Jesse, and I in Golden Gate Park |
After almost a month of concerted effort, I am finally mostly pain free, ready to move on, and start riding.
It's all about the psoas muscle, and stretching it so it doesn't tense up and pull things out of wack. But this pain has moved me to a new place of healing in my life. I now am eating better, have a twice daily yoga practice, and am looking forward to long rides in beautiful places.
I head toward Sonora and Yosemite valley tomorrow, after a nice long holiday in the Bay area and Sacramento. I had a lot of fun with friends and family, but I'm looking forward to moving on, and finally doing some serious riding!
My old buddy Janna lives in Sonora, and she and I are planning a juice fast for the next two weeks. Want to join us? Send me an email, and I'll send you the directions. We can get healthier together!
Stay tuned! Horse stories on the way....
Hi Trish,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Sonora! I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet you at the barn today. I think you'll enjoy your stay here in the Sierra foothills and Yosemite. . . it's beautiful country! Your story is a fascinating one, and it's inspiring to know that there are people in this world who still believe in fulfilling their dreams, no matter how crazy they may seem to others. I wish you the best on your journeys, wherever they may lead!
